Care Home
All
Set To Go

Residents at Willowbank Care Home, Clayton le Woods, are all set
to go exploring in their new wheelchair accessible minibus , the
keys of which were officially handed over today by Jim Pepper, Director
of Pepper Mobility who supplied the vehicle.
Capital to purchase the minibus was made available to the Home
jointly by its holding company Netley Partnerships, and through
the award
of a grant by Lancashire County Council in recognition of the Home’s
commitment to promote the wider environment and enhance quality of
life.
Thrilled to receive the keys, Michelle Darwen, Manager of Willowbank,
said, ‘it’s been a really fantastic year for everyone
here. We recently achieved re-accreditation with ISO 9001 for the
quality of our management systems, and a high CSCI rating for the
quality of care we provide; being awarded this capital grant is simply
the icing on the cake. The whole team have worked closely with residents
to get us where we are today. We are all delighted with this achievement
and very grateful to our sponsors.’
Willowbank Care Home is known for providing care in a warm, friendly
and homely environment. The minibus, which is part of its whole
systems approach to maintaining independence and choice and
helping people
remain fit, active and healthy, will replace its older model, now
in its 18th year.
